Anna Sample – Camden, NJ
In May 1988, Volunteers of America Delaware Valley dedicated this homeless shelter in honor of Anna M. Sample, a woman who devoted her life to fighting poverty in the City of Camden. This 65-bed Transitional Housing program serves homeless families. This program focuses on assisting the women to become self-sufficient members of the community. Residents receive 24-hour supervision, case management and counseling. A variety of programs are provided to assist the women to develop the necessary life skills to become independent of the welfare system to re-enter society and successfully manage their families. These programs include life skills workshops, drug and alcohol awareness, recreational enrichment, parenting & life skills, and a referral network.

Cathedral Kitchen is the largest emergency food provider in Camden, NJ, serving more than 100,000 meals a year. Additionally, each year the organization trains unemployed and low-income individuals in culinary and baking arts to help them sustain themselves and their families.

The Christian Caring Center has been helping people in need of food, shelter, medical care and other life-sustaining assistance for over 30 years, while sharing the good news of God’s love with all who come through its doors.
Also, the Center serves daily hot lunches at noon. On Wednesday and Friday, Christian Caring delivers lunch to people who cannot come to the center.

Home For The Brave is a 30-bed housing program for homeless veterans. Veterans come to Home for the Brave with a myriad of concerns and life circumstances that have resulted in homelessness including, but not limited to, behavioral health issues, incarceration, and poor employment history. Veterans are provided with individual support as they work to address these concerns and plan for a future that allows for self-sufficiency and independence.
Joseph’s House of Camden – Camden, NJ
Joseph’s House of Camden (JHOC) operates an overnight program for up to 75 homeless men and women per night, providing guests with breakfast and dinner, access to showers and laundry, mail drop services, and storage space for personal belongings. JHOC also provides day services in its Connection Hub, where people in need can find social services like counseling for mental health and addiction, help with navigating the social services network throughout the county, case management, employment, and housing services.

Spirit & Truth Ministries, Inc. is a multi-denominational Christian organization that is devoted to working in conjunction with the community and local churches in group efforts to provide food assistance to the low income and homeless population in the City of Vineland. This is demonstrated through its food distribution programs, which include four weekly soup kitchens, a Friday bagged lunch and three community holiday meals. “Beyond Feeding” services are also integrated into each of these programs in the areas of housing, clothing, health issues, job placement and counseling to help improve the quality of life of the soup kitchen participants.
